Children’s Parade entry #9, “Sego Lily,” was designed by S. T. Whitaker. The float represents the state flower of Utah: “it was an early friend to the Pioneers. When their larders were low its succulent root furnished the food which sustained them in their toil.”(Neg. #2298)
